Choreography : Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar / Music : Ori Lichtik
Piece created for Batsheva Dance Company in 2010
This work for twenty or more dancers was first shown by the BJG last spring within the prestigious Steps dance festival. The kalydoscopic complexity of the choreography hypnotises to the sound of reverberating beats. Bill plunges us into obscure territory, where thought gives itself up to instinct. A piece not to be missed!
"Bill is a significant and mysterious work by a talented artist who is not afraid of complexity."
Merav Yodilovich, Ynet
Choreography : Barak Marshall / Music : Balkan Beat Box, Goran Bregovic...
Piece created in 2008 at the Suzanne Dellal Center
"With Monger, Barak Marshall proves he is an authentic author, a choreographer in his own right, with a powerful style and a unique voice."
Raphaël de Gubernatis, Le Nouvel Observateur
NOCES (new to the repertoire)
Choreography : Angelin Preljocaj / Re-staging : Naomi Perlov / Music : Igor Stravinsky
Puece created in 1989 at the Maison des arts de Créteil
"Noces : Preljocaj tackles the genius score by Stravinsky and creates a masterpiece... You are overwhelmed by the atmosphere of anguish that radiates immediately, during the heavy silence that precedes the explosion of Stravinsky's music... An extraordinary ceremony is about to unfold, a dance to exorcise ancestral fears that take hold of us when faced with the mysteries of sexuality and death."
Sylvie de Nussac, Le Monde, May 1989
With the support of République et canton de Genève, Loterie Romande, Migros pour-cent culturel, Fondation Fluxum, Fondation Sophie et Karl Binding and Fondation Ernst Göhner
Partenaire : Le Courrier
